SEALED TRAYS - SEALTRAY
ATM and Skin processes
ATM
This is a packaging process that increases the product's shelf life by replacing atmospheric air with an optimized mixture of gases capable of controlling the development of micro-organisms (fungi and bacteria), respiration, enzymatic action and oxidation, mechanisms that cause food to deteriorate. In this way, the modified atmosphere brings many advantages to production.
-
- Elimination of preservatives;
- Preservation of food color and aroma;
- Lower stock losses due to spoilage;
- Reduced labor costs related to sales;
- Ideal for products that need a specific gaseous solution;
- Cheaper lidding film;
Skin
The Skin Package sealing process is currently the highest technology used by major fresh food companies. This film guarantees all the properties of a vacuum package, providing the perfect combination of shelf life extension and the best presentation on the shelves. It is of the highest quality and acts as a second skin for the packaged product, providing a 3D effect and enhancing its juiciness.
-
- Technology that guarantees the food's properties;
- Improved presentation on the shelf;
- High quality film;
- Greater microbiological protection
- Less loss in the process;
- Allows vertical display;
- Allows fractional use;
- Cheaper tray;
- Cheaper logistics;
- No need to be anti-fog;
- No need for gases (more economical);
- No visible meat liquid.
C-PET
Recently, some companies have moved to use C-PET material in their trays, which has specific properties that can withstand a wide range of temperatures; due to this resistance, they become excellent options for use in microwaves, freezers, deep-freezers and even conventional ovens.
C-PET also has its own barrier that can extend the shelf life of packaged products, when used in conjunction with specific preconditions. They are also more rigid, giving the consumer the perception of a more resistant material, and because they are monomaterial, they are also excellent for the recycling process, among other benefits.
material da embalagem
The material used in frozen food trays can have a direct influence on the consumer's purchase. When it comes to convenience, there are two things that must not happen to the consumer when they receive their food:
- The packaging looks easy to break;
- The packaging doesn't handle well when taken to the defrosting process.
